Last updated: April 11, 2026
Overview
NagMe is designed to help users maintain accountability through reminder messages. This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for using our service responsibly. By accessing or using NagMe, you agree to comply with this policy. Failure to comply may result in account suspension or termination.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use NagMe for any of the following purposes:
Harassment, Abuse, and Threats
You may not use NagMe to send messages that harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or bully any individual or group. This includes messages containing hate speech, discriminatory language, or any form of intimidation.
Spam and Unsolicited Messages
You may not use NagMe to send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, phishing attempts, or any other form of unwanted communication. Spamming violates our service and may result in immediate account termination.
Non-Consenting Recipients
You may not use NagMe to send messages to recipients who have not explicitly consented to receive communications from you through our service. All users must provide informed consent before their contact information is used to send reminders or accountability messages.
Bypassing Rate Limits and System Restrictions
You may not attempt to bypass, circumvent, or interfere with rate limiting mechanisms, security features, or other system restrictions implemented to protect our service. This includes automated tools, bots, or scripts designed to evade these protections.
Reverse Engineering and Scraping
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of NagMe. You may not scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from NagMe without explicit written permission. This includes unauthorized API access.
Abuse of Free Tier
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations of our free tier, exploit promotional offers, or gain unfair advantages over other users. Each account must be used in accordance with our Terms of Service.
Illegal Activity
You may not use NagMe to facilitate, promote, or engage in any illegal activity, including but not limited to fraud, extortion, blackmail, or any violation of local, state, national, or international law.
Impersonation
You may not impersonate, misrepresent, or falsely claim to be another person, entity, or representative of a third party. This includes using misleading account information or deceiving users about your identity.
Distribution of Malware
You may not use NagMe to distribute, transmit, or introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, or any malicious code. This includes phishing links or attempts to compromise user systems or data.
SMS-Specific Rules
For users of our SMS reminder feature, the following additional rules apply:
- You may not use NagMe to relay spam, unsolicited messages, or marketing communications via SMS to recipients who have not explicitly opted in.
- You may not share your NagMe account access credentials with others for the purpose of sending bulk SMS messages or circumventing our service limitations.
- SMS messages sent through NagMe must comply with applicable telecommunications regulations and anti-spam laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
- You are responsible for obtaining proper consent from recipients before using NagMe to send SMS messages to their phone numbers.
